A Call to Embrace Change and Support President Tinubu's Reform Agenda
Support Tinubu's Reforms: A Call for Change in Nigeria

A Clarion Call to Embrace Change and Support President Tinubu's Reforms

In life, change is the only constant, yet human nature often resists it. We cannot persist with outdated methods and anticipate different outcomes. Reflecting on history, when automatic transmission was introduced in automobiles, initial resistance was overcome through incentives, and today, manual cars are rare. Similarly, in 1990, my automatic Peugeot 505 was viewed skeptically, but now, who drives manual? Resistance to change stems from fear of the unknown, lack of vision, mistrust in leadership, or complacency. However, in an ever-evolving world, embracing new approaches is essential for progress.

Nigeria: A Land of Opportunities Amidst Challenges

Some Nigerians perceive our country as fraught with problems, while others see it as a land brimming with opportunities. Nigeria is an evolving economy with abundant prospects waiting to be seized. No astute Nigerian should lament hunger or suffering, as opportunities are everywhere, especially for those with foresight and the ability to look beyond superficial credentials. Many who fled abroad in search of better prospects have courageously admitted that there is no place like home, and potential opportunities exist here for those willing to explore beyond paper qualifications.

I have witnessed people in America working tirelessly, facing stress and challenges without complaint, instead creating opportunities. We can emulate this resilience in Nigeria. Those opposing President Tinubu's reforms may be educated but lack wisdom, as change is intrinsic to growth. Historical leaders like Lee Kuan Yew, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Paul Kagame stood firm despite criticism, driving transformative change.

Learning from Global Examples: The Case of Deng Xiaoping

Deng Xiaoping, the architect of modern China, faced immense challenges in persuading the Chinese populace to abandon unproductive and corrupt economic policies under Chairman Mao. Fortunately, the Chinese people embraced Deng's vision, leading to one of the fastest economic turnarounds in history. His progressive policies boosted economic output and living standards, enabling 300 million impoverished Chinese to become educated and form a powerful middle class, the backbone of China's economic miracle. This serves as a powerful lesson for Nigeria.

Envisioning a New Nigeria Under President Tinubu

Let us give President Tinubu a chance; Nigeria stands to benefit greatly. His leadership is a rare gift, and we should appreciate it. Under his administration, I envision a new Nigeria with:

  • Six-lane roads from Lagos to Owo, Aba, Owerri, Enugu, Kano, and Katsina.
  • Tree-lined, well-lit roads, flyovers, state-of-the-art hospitals, and schools.
  • A professionalized police force, Army, Navy, and Air Force.
  • New local and international airports competing globally.
  • Youth abandoning begging for productive labor, with mass production of goods and services.

I call on Nigerians to rise above pettiness and show compassion, focusing on building a nation where empathy and kindness prevail. In his short tenure, President Tinubu has proven to be a dynamic and result-oriented leader, with notable achievements including:

  4. Security: Strengthened efforts to combat insecurity and enhance national stability.
  5. Anti-Corruption Drive: Intensified efforts to curb corruption and promote transparency.
  6. Renewed International Partnerships: Strengthened global ties, boosting trade and diplomacy.

A Call for Unity and Support

I urge Nigerians to focus on these achievements and pray for the President's swift recovery, rather than politicizing incidents. Let us build a nation grounded in empathy and kindness. I stand in solidarity with President Tinubu and the Nigerian people, calling for unity and collective effort towards nation-building. I believe in a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive and prosper. Nigerians, let us rise and support President Tinubu! Nigeria will be great again. Tinubu must succeed; Nigeria must succeed.
