President Bola Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, following the passing of her mother, Hajiya Fatima Musa Musawa.
In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu confirmed that Hajiya Musawa died on Saturday, June 13. The President acknowledged the profound pain of losing a parent, especially a mother, drawing from his own personal experience of such a loss.
Tinubu highlighted that the late Hajiya Fatima Musawa had been a cornerstone of support within her family. He expressed sorrow that her death came just a few years after the family lost its patriarch, Ambassador Musa Musawa.
“I received the news of the demise of Hajiya Musawa with deep sadness, occurring just a few years after the patriarch of the family, Ambassador Musa Musawa, passed on,” Tinubu said. “I condole with Barrister Hannatu Musawa and the entire family at this time of grieving over a loving mother who was also a strong pillar of support and strength within the family.”
The President prayed for the eternal rest of the deceased, saying, “I pray that Allah will grant Hajiya Fatima Musawa eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus, and grant the Minister, her siblings, and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
