The RenewedHope Network (TRN), a political group established by former Zamfara state Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has called on opposition figures in Nigeria to set aside their grievances and recognize the numerous achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across various sectors. The group emphasized that Nigerians should disregard what it described as lies, propaganda, and deliberate distortions spread by the opposition aiming to undermine Tinubu's administration.

During a solidarity rally at the ongoing National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, leader of TRN's technical committee, stated that the group mobilized thousands of Nigerian supporters to demonstrate appreciation for Tinubu's accomplishments. Ogenyi praised Senator Yari as the founder and affirmed TRN's commitment to grassroots networking to sensitize Nigerians for the implementation of the Renewed Hope mandate, aimed at improving the nation for all citizens.
Ogenyi highlighted that President Tinubu has shown capacity, commitment, and a strong willingness to lead Nigeria toward progress through his policies, programs, and visible achievements. He urged opposition figures and those dissatisfied with the government's re-engineering efforts to let go of their anger and open their eyes to the benefits of the ongoing reforms, noting that clear vision is impossible with closed eyes.
Reasons Behind Governors Joining APC
On the topic of why many governors and prominent politicians are defecting to the APC, Ogenyi explained that the party is on the right track, now boasting thirty-two state governors. He attributed this influx to appreciation for President Tinubu, stating that serving governors and top politicians across Nigeria are flocking to the APC because Tinubu has redefined governance and party administration, making it an attractive option.
Key Achievements Cited by TRN
Ogenyi outlined several specific achievements under Tinubu's administration:
- Security and Education: President Tinubu has weakened terrorism and resolved the long-standing issue with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which had plagued the nation for years. As a result, Nigerian students no longer face school dropouts due to strikes or financial hardships.
- Economic Reforms: The funding crisis for less privileged students has been addressed through the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Additionally, petroleum products are now available at high quality, eliminating the past struggles of sleeping at filling stations.
- Economic Indicators: Inflation has been reduced from 34% to 15%, foreign reserves have increased to 48.5 billion dollars, foreign loans are being paid off daily, Nigerians in the diaspora are returning home, and the economy is experiencing rapid growth.
Ogenyi concluded by stating that TRN, under the national leadership of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, is prepared to mobilize Nigerians in support of Tinubu's administration, reinforcing their call for unity and recognition of the government's efforts.
