In a circular dated Tuesday, January 27, the Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory, Nancy Sabanti Nathan, issued clear instructions to all Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Departments. Justice E. D. Subilim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria had ordered the immediate suspension of the JUAC strike, prompting the FCTA to act swiftly. Nathan stressed that compliance with this court order is not optional but mandatory for all staff members.
