Governor Fintiri's Administration Completes Over 100 Projects in Adamawa State
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's administration has executed over 100 major infrastructural, educational, health, and social projects across Adamawa State, significantly transforming both urban centres and rural communities. This comprehensive development agenda has left a visible mark on the state's landscape, enhancing mobility, trade, learning, healthcare access, and basic utilities like water and electricity.
Infrastructure and Road Networks
The administration completed numerous road projects, including the Lamido Aliyu Mustapha Flyover in Yola, the Nyibango-Yolde Pate Road in Yola South, and the Unity Flyover at Police Roundabout. Other key projects include the Superhighway from Welcome to Yola to A.A. Lawan Junction, the Flyover at Mubi Roundabout, and the Half Cloverleaf Interchange at Welcome to Yola. Rural areas benefited from roads such as the Kiri–Shelleng Road, Sukur Road in Madagali, and the Girei–Pariya–Wuro Bokki Road, improving connectivity and trade.
Health and Education Facilities
Over 100 new primary health care centres were built across the 21 local government areas, while hospitals like Numan General Hospital and Specialist Hospital in Yola underwent comprehensive development and modernisation. Educational initiatives included the construction of model schools in every LGA, such as Model School Yola South and Model School Girei, along with the renovation of over 10,000 classrooms statewide and the provision of modern furniture to more than 200 schools.
Public Utilities and Other Projects
Water supply projects involved upgrades to the Yola and Jimeta Water Treatment Plants, installation of submersible pumps, and construction of hundreds of boreholes. Power and electrification efforts included a 132KV double circuit transmission line and reconnection of areas like Michika and Madagali to the national grid. Additionally, the administration built ultra-modern markets, an International Conference Center, and a sports complex, while housing projects provided 1,000 units for civil servants in Malkohi.
