Government Dismisses Rift Rumors

Meanwhile, the state government has strongly dismissed reports of a rift between President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, described such claims as unfounded during an appearance on Channels Television's Morning Brief.

Omotoso emphasized that there is no indication of dissatisfaction from the President towards the governor, noting that Tinubu's visits to Lagos reflect cordial relations. He stated that as Commander-in-Chief, Tinubu is free to visit any state, and such visits typically signify positive engagement with state governments.
