The historic peace meeting took place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Wurma town, located within Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State. The gathering brought together official representatives from both Charanci and Batagarawa local governments, marking a collaborative effort to address security challenges.
Notable attendees included Hon. Yahaya Lawal Kawo, the Chairman of Batagarawa Local Government, alongside representatives from Charanci Local Government. Traditional rulers and delegates representing the forest-based Fulani community also participated actively in the discussions.
