The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has expressed disappointment over the lack of response from South-West governors to his repeated calls for collaborative efforts to address insecurity in the region. Adams revealed that he had written to the governors proposing coordinated action against security challenges, but his letters went unanswered for two years.
Adams Calls for United Front
Speaking on Channels Television, Adams emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck to tackle the rising insecurity. 'I have written to South West governors calling for collaboration on security issues; all hands must be on deck to address this ugly situation, but for the past two years, they did not reply me,' he stated. His remarks come amid growing concerns over escalating security incidents across the region, with stakeholders advocating for stronger inter-state cooperation and community-based security frameworks.
