Troops of Sector 3 of Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP) have apprehended a suspected informant for kidnappers in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. Security sources disclosed that the suspect, identified as Yohanna Teri, also known as John Mai-Shayi, aged 40, was captured on June 9, 2026, in the Kangang community following intelligence-led operations by security personnel.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect is believed to have provided information and support to a kidnapping network operating within the area. Sources revealed that investigations linked him to the abduction of Mr. Maxwell Anakwe, who was later rescued by troops during a security operation in the community on June 3.
