In a significant recognition of her leadership in border management, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, has been inducted as a distinguished Fellow of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice, SPSP.
Prestigious Honor at International Conference
The induction ceremony took place during the 19th International Conference and General Assembly held at the University of Ibadan. The event, themed "Economic Challenges and the Task of Building Sustainable Peace in a Globalised World," celebrated Nandap's transformative initiatives in border governance and her commitment to fostering national security.

Strategic Academic Partnership Proposed
In a related development, Nandap paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale. During this meeting, she proposed a strategic academic partnership between the Nigeria Immigration Service and the prestigious institution.
The proposed collaboration would focus specifically on Border Governance and Migration studies. This initiative aims to create a framework for both institutions to leverage their respective strengths, advancing knowledge and best practices in the critical areas of border management and migration control.
Directive for Enhanced Border Surveillance
Demonstrating her commitment to practical security measures, Nandap met with Heads of South West Border formations at the Zonal Headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service in Zone F, Ibadan. During this crucial meeting, she issued a clear directive for increased border surveillance and patrol activities.
