Anambra Arraigns Eight Suspected Fake Pastors

The Anambra State Government on June 5 arraigned eight individuals accused of being fake pastors before the state High Court for violating the 2025 Homeland Security Law. The law, enacted in February 2025, prohibits certain religious practices deemed harmful to the public, particularly those related to wealth creation.

List of Arraigned Individuals

The accused include Ndubisi Nnachukwu of Omega Dominion Ministry, Ekeleme Chris Ugochukwu of Cloud of Glory Prophetic Ministry, Bishop Emeka Nwamkpa of Chapel of Faith Ministry, Peter Chukwu of Messiah Adoration Ministry, Chinedu Egwuonwu of Citadel of Grace Ministry, Ebele Nnachukwu of Jehovah, Mighty Than All Ministry, Miracle Iruoma of City of Power Ministry, and Chukwukadibia Ogwuama of Land of Testimony Adoration Ministry.

Background of the Law

The 2025 Homeland Security Law targets religious practices that are inimical to public safety and promote get-rich-quick schemes. Last year, the government arrested several native doctors for similar offenses. Some have been prosecuted and convicted, while others remain on trial.
