Troops of the Nigerian Army have apprehended a man in Kaduna State on allegations of impersonating a retired Major General. The suspect was taken into custody by personnel of the 312 Artillery Regiment stationed at the Strike Force Base in the Sabo area of Kaduna, acting on intelligence reports. The arrest took place on June 11, according to military sources.

Investigation Underway

The suspect had been presenting himself as a retired Major General, and he is currently in military custody as preliminary investigations proceed. Sources within the military indicated that after initial procedures are completed, the suspect will be transferred to the appropriate security agencies for further investigation and potential prosecution.

Authorities Probe Motive
