Boko Haram Attacks Chibok, Sets Schools Ablaze

Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have attacked Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, setting ablaze primary and secondary schools.

This attack comes after pupils of Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira-Uba were abducted for nearly a month without any trace.

Security sources revealed that the assailants invaded the town, which has suffered multiple attacks, around 7pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

“No casualty so far but residents were forced to flee into the bush for safety,” one of the sources said.

A resident also disclosed that the terrorists had attacked the village months earlier but did not destroy any public or private property at that time.

“I wonder why they set ablaze the Primary School and Day Secondary School. Such attacks are unusual,” he said.
