A 27-year-old man, Ali Haruna, has confessed to killing and beheading a woman identified as Aisha inside a hotel in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The suspect also admitted to drinking her blood after the act.
Arrest and Confession
Last Friday, the Adamawa State Police Command arrested Haruna, who hails from Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, over the gruesome murder at a hotel in Girei town, on the outskirts of Yola, the state capital. The suspect, who currently resides in Digno community, Fufore Local Government Area, made the confession while speaking to SaharaReporters at the Adamawa State Police Command headquarters in Yola on Monday.
According to Haruna, he met the deceased for the first time at the hotel, where they allegedly smoked Indian hemp and had sexual intercourse before the incident occurred. He admitted killing the woman and drinking her blood afterward.
Police Confirmation
The spokesperson for Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect remains in police custody as the investigation into the incident continues. Nguroje added that the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
