Woman Shares How High School Bullying Disfigured Her Thumb
Bullying in High School Left Woman with Disfigured Thumb

A woman has bravely shared her story of how a bullying incident during her secondary school years left her with a permanent physical reminder. She posted a photo of her thumb, explaining that its unusual shape draws unwanted attention. Detailing the cause, she wrote that she initially hesitated to participate in the high school bullying trend but felt compelled to speak out.

The Incident and Its Aftermath

According to her account, the deformity resulted from beatings she received from a senior student at FGGC Langtang, set 2013, when she was in JSS 3. The growth on her thumb started small but gradually increased in size. After graduating in 2016, she underwent surgery on the finger, but the condition worsened. She is now planning another surgery.

Living with the Consequences

The woman emphasized that she still lives with the result of that high school bullying. She noted the irony that she never reported the senior to school authorities and has long forgiven her, as she cannot even recall the bully's name, only her hostel and position. At times, she stopped revealing the cause of her thumb's condition because people would react with anger and curses toward the perpetrator.
