According to the obituary, Vivian will be buried in her hometown, Owere-Ezukala, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, on September 12, 2026. Ifeanyi will be buried in his hometown, Umuogbonna, Wziama Nunya, in Isiukwuato Local Government Area of Abia State. The dates were announced by their families following the recovery of their bodies from the rubble.

The Elite 5-Star Hostel, which had about 60 rooms, caved in on Sunday night, July 26, 2026. The building was located in Amaokpala, near the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area. Rescue operations led to the recovery of the bodies of the couple, who were both alumni of the Federal Polytechnic Oko.
