Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, revealed that the raids were executed in various parts of the state as part of ongoing initiatives to dismantle criminal networks. According to Edafe, operatives from the Command's Raiders Unit, acting on credible intelligence, stormed a suspected criminal hideout in Agbor, Ika South Local Council, on April 4, 2026, around 1:00 pm.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Henry Obi, a 34-year-old native of Anambra State, who reportedly confessed to being a member of the notorious Aiye Confraternity. A thorough search of the premises yielded an English-made pistol loaded with six rounds of live ammunition. Further inspection uncovered suspected illicit drugs cleverly concealed inside a standing air conditioner in the living room, indicating deliberate attempts to evade law enforcement detection. The suspect, along with the recovered exhibits, is currently in police custody as investigations proceed.
