Nigerian artist Chidera Dior Adiele has publicly called out her father on social media, sharing a WhatsApp conversation in which she accuses him of abandoning his family and sexually abusing her maternal aunt. The exchange comes weeks after she asked her mother to leave her house and sought help for her brother's drug addiction.
Accusations of Abuse and Neglect
In a previous post, Dior alleged that she was molested as a child and that her parents did not protect her. She wrote, "Three of my uncles molested me constantly." Her posts reportedly drew warnings from family members, including her father, who lives abroad. In the newly shared chat, her father sent her a video with the caption, "When your own children reject you." Dior responded by telling him that he is the one who abandoned his family, adding that he cares more about what outsiders think than about his own children.
She also accused her father of molesting her maternal aunt. "I watched you sexually molest your wife's sister (Chimezie) as a child," she wrote on WhatsApp. The chat shows her father reminding her that she now has a child of her own.
18 Years in America, Four Visits
In her caption, Dior detailed her father's absence: "The father in question. left me with so much trauma, been in America for 18 years. I have worked all my life and sent myself through school like an Orphan. He has visited Nigeria 4 times, not to have a bond with his kids, but spends most of his stay in the village where he is building his mansion and preparing for chieftaincy."
She said she tried to have a private conversation with him about the things he did that traumatized her, but he denied them, saying she was making things up. She also accused him of telling her that if her brother wanted to kill himself, he could go ahead. Dior said she has taken care of her brother for seven years, while her father has never witnessed any of his episodes, sending only money.
Dare to Debunk
Dior challenged her father's side of the family: "I DARE ANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS (from my father's side) TO CALL ME A LIAR OR COME OUT TO DEBUNK, then I will post every proof. I have kept quiet for too long, suffered in silence for too long, but I do not want to DIE! I chose to live for my CHILD."
This latest post follows her earlier call-out of her mother, where she asked her to leave her house. Weeks prior, Dior had also requested help for her brother, who is battling drug addiction and has been made her responsibility. The WhatsApp video sent by her father was shared on Linda Ikeji's blog, which posted the exchange on August 17, 2026.
