A driver has been arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap and murder his boss after collecting a ransom in Ota, Ogun State.
Details of the Plot
The driver, identified as Moses Owolabi, works for Mr Chidozie Joseph, a wholesale drinks supplier. Owolabi allegedly conspired with three other individuals to abduct his boss and eventually kill him after receiving a ransom payment.
Political activist Festus Olanrewaju Ojo disclosed the information, noting that one of the accomplices, a butcher, reported the plan to the So Safe Security office in the Ota area of Ogun State.
Arrest and Confession
Following the tip-off, Owolabi and his accomplices were arrested. During interrogation, they reportedly confessed to their involvement in the plot.
A video shared online shows the suspects at the New Ota Police Station, located opposite the Magistrate Court in Ota, Ogun State.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to ensure the safety of the community and bring all perpetrators to justice.
