Farm Attack Leads to Tragic Death

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at approximately 3:55 AM, hunters reported a violent attack at the farm of Idris Waziri Kwamawa in Jama'are. The Divisional Police Officer, leading a patrol team to the scene, discovered a grim situation: private guard Bello Bura, aged 40, was found dead. Two other guards, Sani Hussaini and Gidado Mohammed, both 32 years old and from Jadauvi village in Gamawa Local Government Area, sustained injuries during the assault.

The victims were promptly transported to General Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, a doctor confirmed Bello Bura's death at the facility. His family has since collected his body for an Islamic burial, as per local customs.

Arrest of Suspects and Recovery of Evidence

Initially, police detained six individuals in connection with the attack. However, after preliminary investigations, four siblings have been specifically held for culpable homicide. The arrested siblings are identified as Chidawa Ahmadu (25), Adamu Ahmadu (20), Usman Ahmadu (15), and Yusuf Ahmadu (22), all residents of Bediri Village via Jumbori in Jama'are Local Government Area.

During the arrest, authorities recovered several items from the suspects, including three cutlasses, two sticks, and a torchlight. These items are believed to be connected to the crime and are being examined as part of the evidence-gathering process.

SP Nafiu Habib, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Bauchi State Police Command, disclosed these details in an official statement released on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The statement emphasized the command's commitment to resolving the case and ensuring justice is served.
