Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have recovered the body of a man killed by gunmen along a road in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Discovery of the Corpse
Security sources disclosed that troops from Sector 5, Bokkos, responded to a report of a suspicious object along the Butura Kampani–Mandung road at approximately 9:45 a.m. on June 15, 2026. Upon arrival, they found the body of a man later identified as Mr. Dasharo Haruna, a resident of Maihakorin Gold Village in Bokkos Local Government Area.
Evacuation and Investigation
The corpse was evacuated by the Keystone Bokkos Division for necessary procedures. Security authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The general area has been secured, and efforts are ongoing to maintain peace and prevent any breakdown of law and order.
