She said the invaders arrived at their home around 1 a.m., broke down the door, and forced her and her husband outside.
“They came by 1 a.m., broke our door and brought my husband and me outside. I was even naked when we were brought outside. They started beating my husband and shot him,” Monica narrated while fighting back tears. “They wanted to kill me too, but one of them said they should leave me because I am a woman. They said our community was responsible for the killing of the persons whose dead bodies were discovered in the river last Monday.”
