According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, on Friday, March 27, 2026, the command received a report on March 4, 2026, concerning a suspected shoplifter operating at the Green House mall. The CCTV evidence clearly captured the suspect in the act of dishonestly stealing various items from a shop. - 67 sets of sportswear
- 54 sets of children's wear
- 123 pairs of caps
- 315 sets of socks
- 45 pairs of women's wrappers
- 9 handbags
- 3 cartons of spaghetti
- 24 bottles of perfumes
- 5 cartons of soap
- One bag containing various styles of fashion jewelry necklaces
- One sack containing various cooking seasonings and spices
The recovered items have been positively identified by their rightful owners, with additional shop owners coming forward as victims during the investigation process. This highlights the extensive impact of the suspect's alleged criminal activities on local businesses.
