The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended a 25-year-old man, Idrisu Musa, in connection with the brutal murder of his elder brother, Muhammed Haruna, and his sister-in-law, Habiba Muhammed. The incident occurred in Asarara Village, Kimba District, Jega Local Government Area.
Details of the Attack
According to the police spokesperson, SP Bashir Usman, the attack took place at approximately 5:15 a.m. on May 9, 2026, while the victims were asleep. The suspect allegedly used a cutlass to inflict fatal injuries on both individuals. Both victims succumbed to their wounds at the scene.
Suspect's History of Intimidation
The statement revealed that the suspect had previously intimidated the couple with a cutlass on several occasions. This pattern of behavior raised concerns among neighbors, but no formal complaints were filed until the tragic incident occurred.

Police recovered substantial and implicating evidence linking Idrisu Musa to the crime. The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar M.
