A commercial tricycle union pass distributor has been stabbed to death at Angwan Kassa junction, a suburb of Jalingo, Taraba State, following a dispute over a mandatory daily ticket. Operatives of the Taraba State Police Command have arrested two suspects in connection with the killing.

The victim insisted that the operator must pay for the pass, leading to a heated argument during which the pass distributor was stabbed. He later succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command, ASP Victor Mshelizah, stated that two suspects were immediately apprehended in connection with the crime. “Two suspects have been taken into custody and are undergoing interrogation. They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Mshelizah said.
