Man gets life sentence for rape of 11-year-old girl

A High Court in Calabar has sentenced a 41-year-old man, Endurance Ime Sandy, to life imprisonment for the rape of an 11-year-old girl. The sentence was handed down on Wednesday, following a trial that lasted several months.

Court Ruling

Justice Blessing Obin Egwu, the presiding judge, stated that based on all evidence presented, the convict was guilty and deserved no mercy. He emphasized that the conviction should serve as a strong lesson to individuals who habitually violate minors.
