Traditional Practitioner Details Unpleasant Encounter with Blord in Kuje Prison

A Nigerian traditional religion practitioner, Mathias Ezeaku Ejiofor, has broken his silence regarding his attempt to visit incarcerated businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja. Mathias claimed his encounter with the Anambra-born entrepreneur was deeply unpleasant and disappointing.

Background of Blord's Incarceration

Blord was remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre on April 1, 2026, following his arraignment on charges of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and unauthorized use of the identity belonging to Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan. The case has generated significant public interest and media coverage across Nigeria.

Mathias's Attempt to Visit Blord

Mathias, who identifies as both a businessman and traditional religion practitioner, went live on Facebook on April 7 to share his experience. He explained that he was in Abuja on the day Blord was arraigned and decided to cancel his flight to Owerri specifically to visit the businessman at Kuje prison.

"I had gathered important contacts on Blord's behalf whose influence could have ensured his speedy release from prison," Mathias stated during his Facebook live session. "I believed that if Blord had given me audience, he would not have spent beyond two days in prison."

The Unpleasant Encounter

Mathias described visiting the correctional facility just one day after Blord's remand. According to his account, he properly introduced himself to prison warders and explained his mission. However, when the warder relayed his message to Blord, the businessman reportedly refused to see him.

"Blord told the warder that he does not want to see me, that he does not know me," Mathias recounted disappointedly. "The warder went twice but Blord maintained that he does not want to see me, that he does not know who I am."

Mathias further explained that he instructed the warder to return and provide a more detailed explanation of his identity and purpose. The response was even more disheartening.

"The man came back, saying Blord raised his voice at him in anger, to the point that it got the attention of other inmates and left the warder embarrassed," Mathias said. "The warder had to leave the scene in shame."

Mathias's Perspective on Blord-VeryDarkMan Feud

During his Facebook live session, Mathias also shared his thoughts on the ongoing clash between Blord and VeryDarkMan. While he spoke highly of Blord's business acumen, he expressed disappointment that the businessman rejected what he considered valuable assistance during a difficult time.

Mathias conducted his entire narration in Igbo, emphasizing his cultural background as a traditional religion practitioner and his genuine intention to help a fellow businessman from Anambra State.

Public Reactions to the Encounter

The video of Mathias's encounter has elicited diverse reactions from social media users:

  • Juddie Amaka questioned whether the entire conflict stemmed from pricing differences in upgraded iPhone 17 sales between Blord and VeryDarkMan
  • Francis Kacci expressed changed perspective: "I was pitying him before now but after your prison encounter with him I no fit pity am again."
  • Ugadu Paulinus Chinonso suggested Blord was learning lessons the hard way
  • B Kennels Iloka cautioned against premature judgment until hearing Blord's side
  • Nnamdi Daniel noted Blord's apparent aversion to being used for content creation
  • Light of the Cross Ministry praised Mathias's empathy despite religious differences

Contrasting Prison Visit Accounts

Interestingly, another visitor to Kuje prison provided a different perspective on Blord's condition. In a Facebook post on April 6, this individual described Blord as being in high spirits during their visit. According to this account, Blord claimed he never asked anyone to beg VeryDarkMan on his behalf and denied allegations that he had refused to honor police invitations.
