Italian Couple Attacked: Three Migrants Arrested for Gang Rape
Migrants Arrested for Gang Rape of Italian Couple

Horrific Attack in Rome Park

A young Italian couple experienced a terrifying ordeal when three migrants surrounded their car and committed a brutal sexual assault in a Rome park. The incident occurred on October 25 in Tor Tre Teste, a park located in the eastern part of Italy's capital city.

The couple, who were reportedly undressed inside their parked vehicle, had chosen a quiet corner of the park minutes before the attack began. Suddenly, their peace was shattered when a group of men approached their car and initiated the violent assault.

Violent Assault Details

According to police reports, the attackers smashed the car window and first pulled the 24-year-old man from the vehicle. As his 18-year-old fiancée attempted to cover herself with clothing, the assailants forced her out of the car as well.

The man told authorities that two attackers restrained him while the third dragged his fiancée a short distance away. He was forced to watch helplessly as the sexual assault occurred, screaming for help and begging the perpetrators to stop throughout the horrific incident.

The victim reportedly threatened revenge during the attack but was unable to break free from his captors. After completing their assault, all three perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the traumatized couple to contact police and file an official report.

Investigation and Arrests

Rome's Flying Squad unit moved quickly to investigate the crime. Within days of the October 25 attack, officers traced and detained two suspects. A third suspect was apprehended in Venice several days ago.

Investigators confirmed that fingerprints lifted from the shattered car window matched the three arrested men. All three suspects are Moroccan nationals facing charges of gang rape and robbery, as the couple's belongings were stolen during the assault.

Authorities kept the arrests quiet initially to continue gathering evidence undisturbed. A detective involved in the case emphasized that the investigation remains open, with police still examining whether additional men participated in the attack. Initial reports suggested up to five attackers might have been involved.

The case has reignited public debate about migration and sexual violence in Italy. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had previously linked migrants, particularly undocumented ones, to increasing sexual violence in the country. Recent gang rape cases involving immigrants have sparked protests against illegal mass migration and violence against women throughout Italy.
