During proceedings at Mold Crown Court, prosecutor James Coutts presented the teenager's testimony, detailing a harrowing experience following a night out in Wrexham. The young woman claimed that Oladele dragged her from a main road into nearby woods, where she was subjected to a sexual assault. She described feeling terrified and frozen, unable to move as she anticipated the attack.
According to the prosecution, the woman alleged that Oladele covered her mouth with his hand and forced her down a path, where she was struck multiple times and had her jeans ripped off. After the incident, she returned home in a distressed state, waking her parents and prompting a call to the police. Coutts noted that she was crying, shaking, and hysterical upon arrival.

In his defense, Oladele took the stand on Friday, March 13, and vehemently denied the allegations. He stated, "I didn't rape this girl. It's a lie," insisting that the sexual activity was mutual and consensual. Oladele acknowledged walking with the woman in the early hours of last September as she headed home but disputed her version of events.
He admitted that leaving her in an alley after the encounter was not "a gentlemanly thing" to do, yet maintained that he had done nothing to cause her distressed state. The defendant argued that the woman's account was untruthful, emphasizing his belief in the consensual nature of their interaction.
