A pastor has been arrested in Ghana in connection with a shocking incident involving the alleged attempt to bury a five-month-old baby alive. The arrest occurred at Abofrem in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The suspect, identified as Richmond Akwasi Frimpong, serves as the Head Pastor of Anointed Grace Prayer Ministry at Kuffour Camp. According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, the pastor and an accomplice were spotted at a refuse dump around 11 p.m. under highly suspicious circumstances with the infant.
An eyewitness, Winfred Agbah, played a crucial role in preventing a potential tragedy. Agbah noticed unusual activity at the site and intervened, discovering that the baby was still alive and appeared to be on the verge of being buried. He immediately raised an alarm, leading to swift community intervention that prevented what could have turned into a fatal incident.
Community Response and Investigation
The Chief Linguist of Abofrem, Nana Yaw Badu, provided additional context to the case. He confirmed that the suspect had earlier informed him that the child was dead, which prompted discussions about burial arrangements. However, Badu stated he was completely unaware that the baby was still alive at the time of these discussions.
