Peller stopped by police for driving without number plate
Popular TikToker, Peller, clashed with some police officers in Lagos State this evening for allegedly driving a vehicle without a plate number. The incident comes after the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, ordered police officers to arrest anyone found driving a vehicle without a plate number or driving with their plate number covered.
Peller explains car not yet registered
This evening, Peller was driving when he was stopped by the officers for driving a car without a plate number. Peller explained that he recently purchased the car and had not registered it, so a plate number had not been issued for it. However, things took a different turn after Peller began recording his interaction with the police officers.
Allegations of hostility and gunpoint
He claimed the officers became hostile to him. He alleged that one of the officers dragged his shirt and even pointed a gun at him. The incident has sparked reactions online, with many calling for an investigation into the conduct of the officers involved. The Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
