According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, the rescue operation was a joint effort involving police and military personnel. The operation was launched promptly after receiving a report of the abduction, demonstrating the swift response of security agencies in the region.

The statement detailed that armed bandits invaded Nagari's residence on the outskirts of Tsafe Town, abducting him to an unknown location. Upon notification, the Divisional Police Officer of Tsafe Division mobilized his team in collaboration with the military's Operation Fansan Yamma, initiating a coordinated search and rescue mission.

Discovery and Medical Treatment of the Victim

During a thorough search of the surrounding bushes, the security forces located Nagari, who had been tied to a tree and sustained a machete cut injury on his hand. Photos shared by family and friends later revealed that the victim lost one of his hands as a result of the attack, underscoring the severity of his injuries.
