The car wash owner reported that upon arriving at his business early that Saturday morning, he observed the deceased woman's body lying inside a nearby drainage channel. This prompt reporting allowed police to respond quickly to the scene.

Upon receiving the report, a team of police operatives led by the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of Egbeda Division immediately proceeded to the location. At the scene, they confirmed the presence of the unidentified woman's body within the drainage.
