Barine Eric Loolo, the son of the late monarch, took to Facebook to share an emotional message. He wrote: “After seven years of your kidnap and murder, and six years of legal battle, justice was served today.”

He continued: “My dear father Chief Robert Namene Loolo, I understand that the conviction and death sentence given by the Court today cannot bring back your life. I however, find solace in knowing that justice has been served and the offender has not escaped punishment.”

Barine expressed his gratitude to God, the prosecution team, and everyone who supported the family throughout the ordeal, concluding: “To God be the glory.”
