Ruth Kadiri Tells Tinubu: Act on Insecurity or Allow Self-Defense

Actress Ruth Kadiri Ezerike has issued a direct appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu concerning the escalating insecurity plaguing the nation. Her outcry comes in the wake of a tragic incident where a teacher was brutally beheaded by bandits after being kidnapped from a school in Oyo State.

Ruth Kadiri's Emotional Plea

Taking to Instagram, the actress expressed her deep concern and frustration over the situation. She wrote: "This is not a propaganda! This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad. And even if they were, you can't leave your house on fire."

She continued: "Dear President Tinubu, please do something. Or give us the go ahead to protect our lives and properties. Too much death everywhere. Being a Nigerian is not even safe at home anymore."

Kadiri added: "Too many innocent lives are paying for sins they know nothing about."

Heightened Insecurity in Nigeria

The actress's plea reflects the growing anxiety among Nigerians as incidents of banditry, kidnapping, and violent crimes continue to rise. The recent killing of a teacher has particularly struck a chord, highlighting the vulnerability of citizens even in educational institutions.

Many Nigerians have echoed similar sentiments, calling for urgent government action to restore safety and security across the country. The call for citizens to be allowed to defend themselves has also gained traction among those who feel the authorities are unable to provide adequate protection.

As the nation mourns the loss of yet another innocent life, the pressure mounts on President Tinubu's administration to implement effective measures to curb the wave of violence and ensure the safety of all Nigerians.
