Teacher Warns Parents to Pay More Attention to Their Male Children After Traumatic Incident
Teacher Warns Parents to Pay More Attention to Their Sons

A Nigerian teacher has issued a heartfelt plea to parents, urging them to pay closer attention to their sons and male wards following a distressing incident at her school. The teacher shared a harrowing story that unfolded during a regular school day, leaving her deeply shaken.

The Incident

The teacher narrated how a boy in Senior Secondary 1 (SS1) suddenly went into a crisis, convulsing and foaming at the mouth. He was rushed to the staff room, where teachers scrambled to stabilize him while others contacted his parents. Eventually, he was driven home, but within twenty minutes, the situation took a shocking turn.

Confession and Discovery

At home, the boy confessed that his 'best friend,' a classmate, had given him a substance known as 'colos' after he complained of a headache. Upon searching the classmate's bag, teachers discovered hard drugs. The teacher expressed her trauma, stating, 'I am traumatised. Today is one of those days I questioned my sojourn into public school.'

She described the chaos: 'This morning, an SS1 male student was rushed into the staff room because he was convulsing and behaving like he was going to die. He even started foaming from the mouth. All the teachers became afraid and started doing everything to make him stable.'

The Irony

The teacher highlighted the irony that the classmate, who was known as the victim's best friend, watched as teachers frantically tried to save his friend. When questioned, he initially claimed the boy had complained of a headache. 'How would we have known that a boy who is probably less than 15 years had already taken colos as early as 9am?' she asked.

Search and Confrontation

The teachers invited the classmate for questioning and searched his bag, finding hard drugs. In a desperate attempt to destroy evidence, the boy swallowed one powdered substance and tried to swallow another wrapped in paper. Teachers intervened but could not retrieve it until senior students, familiar with drugs, persuaded him to spit it out, warning that consuming it raw could cause madness.

The teacher concluded, 'Let me spare you all the scary details. Today is my first day of seeing hard drug in its form! I am going to show you all too. Today's event will not be erased from my mind. I have not recovered from what I saw today. I don't even know the lesson to make from this. Dear parents, I can only tell you to pay more attention to your boy child!'
