Texas Mother of Three Accused in Prostitution Ring Catering to Police Officers

A Texas mother of three, Ashley Ketcherside, has been arrested on racketeering charges for allegedly assisting her husband in operating a prostitution ring that specifically catered to local police officers and their spouses. This development follows the earlier arrest of her husband, Michael Ketcherside, on April 8, with Ashley's involvement initially overlooked until a thorough investigation uncovered her role.

Allegations and Investigation Details

According to police reports and court documents, Ashley Ketcherside is accused of coaching women to engage in prostitution from the couple's home, where they hosted members of the Godley Police Department for at least ten years. The investigation revealed that Ashley has two prior prostitution convictions and allegedly offered her own services for $1,000 per hour. Messages on her seized burner phone corroborated these rates, as reported by authorities.

When Michael was apprehended, Ashley publicly denied all accusations, telling Fox 4 that she was blindsided by the investigation and maintained her family's innocence. She described Michael as a great husband and amazing father, expressing faith in the justice system. Despite her denials, including refuting rumors that ex-Godley cop Solomon Omotoya paid her for sex, she added that she believes two consenting adults should be allowed to do as they wish.

Broader Corruption Probe and Additional Charges

The case extends beyond the prostitution ring, with the group also under investigation for corruption. The Ketchersides and former Godley Police Chief Matthew Cantrell allegedly gathered information on adversaries, including members of the Godley City Council, the Godley ISD school board, and other police officers, according to a news release from the district attorney's office for Johnson and Somervell counties.

In 2023, Ashley was removed from a Godley ISD committee that oversaw the district's sex education curriculum after members learned of her prior prostitution convictions. Additionally, she had active advertisements on escort websites while volunteering with other city organizations, further complicating her public image.

Legal Charges and Bond Details

Ashley Ketcherside was charged with racketeering and is currently held on a $200,000 bond. Michael Ketcherside faces charges including continuous promotion, solicitation of prostitution, and racketeering, with a bond set at $450,000. Matthew Cantrell was charged with promotion of prostitution and is out on bond, while Solomon Omotoya was charged with soliciting prostitution. The involvement of these individuals highlights the deep-seated nature of the alleged criminal enterprise and its connections to local law enforcement.
