A tragic incident has unfolded in Valsad, Gujarat, India, where a woman has been accused of killing her three children and then attempting to take her own life. The alleged murders occurred after her husband discovered her extramarital affair, according to police reports released on Wednesday, May 27.

The woman is suspected of poisoning and strangling her three children before consuming phenyl in an attempt at suicide. She is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) JK Patel of Valsad confirmed that authorities were alerted to the situation and launched an investigation immediately.
“We received information that a woman had killed her children. Upon investigation, we found that an altercation between the husband and wife followed after he discovered his wife’s affair,” DSP Patel stated.
Investigation Findings
During the probe, it was discovered that the woman allegedly forced her children to consume phenyl and then ingested the same substance herself. “She had made her children consume phenyl and did the same herself. We found her in an unconscious state and admitted her to a hospital. Further investigation is underway,” DSP Patel added.
The case has been registered as a murder investigation, and authorities continue to gather evidence and statements from those involved. The local community has been left in shock by the horrific event, which highlights the severe consequences of domestic strife and emotional distress.
