Details of the Abduction

According to reports, Ogunleye had earlier visited the Ilejemeje Local Government secretariat before heading to Ido Ekiti. It was along this route that the gunmen struck, taking her captive. Her vehicle was later discovered abandoned by the roadside, but her whereabouts remain unknown.

Falade Sunday, the Director of Information and Civic Orientation for Ilejemeje Local Government, confirmed the development in a statement. He stated that security agencies have been alerted and efforts are currently underway to rescue the vice chairman.
