Kwara Church Attack: Dunamis Member Reveals Family Kidnapping, 47 Abducted
Kwara Church Attack: Family Members Kidnapped During Service

A heartbreaking account has emerged from the recent church attack in Kwara State where armed assailants disrupted a worship service and abducted numerous congregants, including family members of a Dunamis International Gospel Centre member.

The Terrifying Church Invasion

Armed individuals stormed a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Ekiti local government area of Kwara state during a regular service, creating panic and chaos among worshippers. The attackers surrounded the church building and began shooting indiscriminately with AK-47 rifles right inside the premises.

According to an emotional testimony shared during a Dunamis church service on Wednesday, November 19, the attack resulted in three fatalities and one injured person. Most shockingly, the assailants made away with 47 people, including the family members of the Dunamis church member who came forward with her story.

Family Tragedy Unfolds

During a service at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, the General Overseer Pastor Paul Enenche called upon a female choir member whose family was directly affected by the Kwara church attack. The distraught woman shared her painful experience with the congregation.

"People went to church yesterday, CAC church; very close to my father's house," the woman explained in a video shared on the church's YouTube page. "They surrounded the church building and started shooting with all their AK-47. They killed three people, one injured. They made away with 47 people, including my nephew and elder sister."

She revealed that her nephew had just completed university education, adding to the family's anguish. Since the abduction occurred, the family has received no communication from the kidnappers or information about their loved ones' whereabouts.

Pastoral Response and Public Reaction

Following the emotional testimony, Pastor Enenche used the situation as a point of contact to raise prayers against the growing insecurity plaguing Nigerian communities. The pastoral intervention highlighted the widespread concern about safety in places of worship across the country.

The incident has sparked significant reactions on social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing frustration about the security situation. User @prestigeola commented: "Omo I've just been weak since yesterday. And another attack close to the community again this morning."

Another user, @RubyEsther3, compared Nigeria's response to international standards: "Our government doesn't value human lives. I remember how USA sent soldiers to Nigeria to save just one person. Now imagine what will happen if they were up to this number."

The viral video of the attack has drawn attention to the escalating security challenges in Kwara State and broader Nigeria, with many citizens calling for more concrete action beyond prayers to address the kidnapping epidemic affecting communities and religious institutions.
