The Airport Police Command in Lagos has successfully intercepted a 14-year-old male, identified as Miracle Eke, in connection with a serious stowaway attempt at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA). This incident, which occurred on Monday, underscores significant vulnerabilities in aviation security protocols within one of Nigeria's busiest airports.

According to a statement released on Monday by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Airport Police Command, Adeola Mohammed, the minor was discovered on the airport tarmac while attempting to unlawfully gain access beneath an aircraft. Preliminary findings by the command revealed that the boy had unlawfully entered a restricted area of the airport without authorization, directly contravening Sections 2 and 3 of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) byelaws.

The parents of the boy were promptly notified, and all necessary protocols were observed, including conducting the interview process in the presence of his parents.
