The most recent arrests occurred in Gubio Local Government Area, where 14 additional suspects were apprehended. On Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026, troops conducted a targeted operation at Gubio market, aided by credible intelligence and a concealed informant, leading to the arrest of 12 suspects. The operation was executed seamlessly without any incidents, according to military sources.
In a separate joint logistics strangulation operation, two more suspected logistics suppliers to Boko Haram terrorists were arrested in Gubio town on Saturday at approximately 11:30 a.m. The suspects, identified as Mal Bunu Gojemi and Zanna Alhaji Mallam, were captured by troops of Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with operatives of the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre (JIFC).
Confessions and Recovered Items
During preliminary interrogation, the suspects confessed to being long-time suppliers of logistics to Boko Haram. Items recovered from them include three mobile phones, a traditional cap, and the sum of N40,000. These findings underscore the role of local networks in sustaining terrorist activities through the supply and movement of essential items.
The suspects have since been handed over to operatives of the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre for further investigation.
