According to a statement released on Friday, December 27, 2025, by the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Abubakar Bawa, the aerial operation focused on locations within the Tangaza Local Government Area. The government was quick to emphasize that preliminary reports indicated no civilian casualties were recorded from the strike.
