Troops of Sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI have apprehended three individuals in Damaturu, Yobe State, on suspicion of supplying ammunition to terrorist groups operating in the North-East region.

Arrest Details

According to security sources, the arrests occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. on May 11, 2026, following intelligence gathered from communication intercepts linked to a previous arrest of a repentant ISWAP member. The suspects were taken into custody in Damaturu town, the headquarters of Damaturu Local Government Area in Yobe State.

Preliminary Findings

Initial investigations revealed that one of the suspects was tasked with collecting ammunition from another suspect for delivery to a terrorist commander. Military sources confirmed that the suspects remain in custody as authorities intensify efforts to locate the alleged commander and recover the ammunition intended for delivery.
