The Delta State Police Command has decorated 457 newly promoted police officers, charging them to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline. The ceremony took place at the Command Headquarters in Asaba.
Promotion Ceremony Details
Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, presided over the decoration of the officers, who were elevated from Police Constable to Corporal. He congratulated them, describing the promotion as a reward for their commitment, loyalty, and dedication to service.

CP Oyeniyi emphasized that promotion is a significant milestone reflecting the confidence of the Nigeria Police Force leadership. He urged the newly decorated corporals to justify this confidence through exemplary conduct and commitment to duty. He also called on them to align with the vision of Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, stressing the need to respect citizens' rights and strengthen community policing.
