Paul University, Awka, has suspended Venerable Cornelius Eze, a member of its academic staff, following allegations of sexual molestation involving a student. Eze, a Practical Biology Technologist in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, has been placed on indefinite suspension pending the outcome of the university's internal disciplinary process and investigations by relevant law enforcement agencies.
The university's Public Relations Officer, Rev. Godisplan Onukwufor, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Friday, July 17, 2026. The incident attracted public attention after a video circulated on social media showing the suspended staff, dressed only in boxer shorts, allegedly fleeing from his office following the incident.
