Troops of Sector 5 under Operation Enduring Peace have rescued a farmer who sustained head injuries after an alleged attack by suspected Fulani herders in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. The incident occurred at about 4:20 p.m. on August 6, 2026, along the Hottom–Sha road in Daffo District, following a distress call reporting an attack on a resident identified as Mr. Malan Malo.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the troops responded swiftly to the location and found the victim with injuries to his head, while the attackers fled on sighting the advancing security personnel. The injured victim was immediately evacuated by the troops to a cottage hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
