Nigeria's Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, had earlier declared a public holiday for Workers' Day 2026. Minister Tunji-Ojo stated that workers are responsible for the country's greatness and the respect Nigeria commands globally.
