A devastating road accident has claimed the lives of sixteen prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members traveling from Ondo State to their orientation camp in Gombe State.

The victims, all recent graduates of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) in Ondo State, were traveling in an 18-seater bus when the fatal crash occurred. Sixteen prospective corps members lost their lives in the incident, while two other students from the same trip survived but remain in critical condition at a local hospital.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Emergency responders immediately arrived at the scene, recovering the bodies and evacuating the injured to a medical facility for treatment. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is leading the investigation into the cause of the tragic accident that occurred on November 20, 2025.
