England Fencing has officially announced its squad for the Senior and U-23 Commonwealth Fencing Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, in August 2026. This event marks a historic milestone as Nigeria becomes the first African nation to host the Commonwealth Championships, having secured the hosting rights ahead of Australia. The country's successful organization of the International Fencing Federation (FIE)-sanctioned World Cup and the African Senior Championships in recent years played a pivotal role in winning the bid.
